Dorosin, Rich re-elected to leadership positions

The Orange County Board of Commissioners unanimously re-elected Mark Dorosin as Chair and Penny Rich as Vice Chair during its organizational meeting on Monday. Each will serve their second year in the position.

Dorosin was elected to his second term as a commissioner in November 2016. He previously served on the Carrboro Board of Alderman from 1999-2003.

Rich is also in her second term as a county commissioner. She served as a member of the Chapel Hill Town Council from 2009 until she was first elected as a county commissioner in November 2012.

The chair and vice chair are elected each year by the Board of Commissioners and serve one-year terms.
