The Community Relations Department for Orange County focuses on public information and community engagement. The department works to strengthen communication with residents and businesses through on-line materials, brochures, social media and traditional news outlets.
The Community Relations office is focused on helping Orange County residents stay current about public meetings, programs and important updates; from informing the public about inclement weather, to promoting new ideas at our libraries and communicating about new initiatives in public health, animal services, parks and recreation and more.
Examples of the projects undertaken by the office include, but are not limited to publishing a resident newsletter, a Guide to Orange County Government, media relations, coordinating a variety of special events, in addition to public affairs programs, crisis communications, marketing campaigns, OCTV bulletins, digital message monitors, Web site content management, advertising, promotions, on-hold phone messaging, public speaking, and intergovernmental programs.
