    Legal Aid of North Carolina, Inc provides free legal services to low-income individuals and senior citizens on a variety of civil legal issues. A licensed attorney will present on legal topics relevant to senior citizens. Presentation topics will include Consumer Protection Law; Advanced Directives – Wills, Living Wills, Powers of Attorney and Health Care Powers of Attorney. Individual applications for legal advice and representation on civil legal matters can be made to the Senior Legal Helpline. 1-877-579-7562. Weekdays 9 - 11 am and 1 - 3 pm.

  3. Seymour Donation Exchange

    Do you have items around your house you never use? Gifts you’ve never opened? Do you want to donate items to others? This new program allows people to donate and exchange items with others once a quarter. Donations should be dropped off on Wed, Aug 21 for staff to prepare the “shop” for participants to look through the following day. Items not taken will be donated to local thrift shops.

    Join us for a free showing of the currently released movie, Green Book. The movie is based on a true story about Tony "Tony Lip" Vallelonga and African-American classical pianist Dr Don Shirley, as they set off on a series of concerts throughout the Deep South. During their travels, Tony learns about “The Negro Motorist Green Book,” a travel guide for safe travel through America's racial segregation. A lifelong bond between the two develops as they face racial discrimination together. PG-13. Popcorn provided.
