Resources for your classroom

You may check out up to 40 items on your educator account, including Literacy Bags for Birth to Grade 5. You will not be charged any late fees but you will be billed for lost, stolen or damaged items. 

STEP 1: Login to your online account

STEP 2: Enter your library account number and password.

Your library card number is your staff ID number. Your password is the last four digits of your phone number (e.g.2539), if we have that. If not, then it is the last four digits of your staff ID number.

Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools Staff only. Your password is the last four digits of your staff ID number with an x in the middle (e.g. 04x04). 

STEP 3: Place items on hold. You will receive an email when your materials are ready for pick up and with instructions on how to use our curbside service. Click here for complete information about our curbside service.

Loan Periods

Books and other materials may be checked out for 21 days.

Maximum Loans/Period

The total number of items you may check out is 40.

Renewals

You may renew all items 2 times, except items that are on a waiting list. You may renew items by phone at 919.245.2525 or online.

No Fines on Late Materials

Note: Our system automatically bills anyone who has an item after it's one month overdue. Simply return your materials, and we'll waive the fine. If items are damaged or lost, we will bill you to cover replacement costs.

School or Group Visits Are Not Possible at This Time

We enjoy having groups visit the library. If you’d like to bring a group to the library for a tour, please contact Kim Dunderdale by email or phone at 919.245.2530 or fill out this form. We will be back in touch with you in 3 business days to discuss things further.
