POSTPONEMENT OF THE APRIL 26 MILDRED COUNCIL ANNUAL COMMUNITY DINNER DUE TO CORONA VIRUS RESTRICTIONS
The April 26th Mildred Council 23rd Annual Community Dinner celebrating Orange County’s rich cultural diversity has been postponed until a later date in the summer due to the restrictions imposed on the community as a result of the current corona virus outbreak.. We would like to thank all the event’s supporters and will publish our rescheduled date once events are allowed to resume. When we do have this rescheduled event we will need the community’s support more than ever as we celebrate the resumption of normal life.
Orange County Human Rights and Relations is a sponsor of the Community Dinner each year. The 23rd Annual Mildred Council Community Dinner will be held on Sunday, April 26, 2019 at McDougle School’s Cafetorium in Carrboro.
The Community Dinner is a community building event, crossing economic, racial, religious and ethnic barriers and presenting a wealth of wonderful, culturally diverse food and entertainment from our own community. In 2014 The Community Dinner was a winner of a National League of Cities Award for Cultural Diversity.
